Backed up and fed up, Ben Roethlisberger provided a vivid reminder to his critics and the Detroit Lions of just how dangerous he and his suddenly surging team remain. The 2013 NFL season started with points on the first play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Tennessee Titans gave up a safety on the opening kickoff but everything went downhill after that. Steelers Lose to Titans 26-23 Remain Winless on the Road

The Titans gave themselves a little breathing room with a much-needed victory, and the Pittsburgh Steelers still can't win away from Heinz Field. Rob Bironas kicked his fourth field goal, a 40-yarder as time expired, and the Titans beat the Steelers 26-23 on Thursday night to snap a two-game skid. Full story

The Jets totaled over 120 yards of offense during their first two drives to take a 10-6 lead, but managed less than 100 the rest of the way. Quarterback Mark Sanchez completed just 10 of 27 passes with a touchdown and New York (1-1) hardly looked like the team that steamrolled Buffalo in its season opener a week ago. Full Story

Steelers Hall of FameNumerous Steelers have been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The Steel Curtain of the 70's lead by Jack Lambert is still considered by many to be the best defense in NFL history.

Hall of Famers Lynn Swan and John Stallworth were named as the best ever WR combo by Sports Illustrated.

  Steelers Super BowlsThe Pittsburgh Steelers have represented the AFC in eight different Super Bowls and won a record six Super Bowl titles.

The Steelers won their first world championship in Super Bowl IX (1975) against the Minnesota Vikings. The most recent Super Bowl victory came in (2009) against the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.
